a man with blue hair is sitting at a table with a bunch of records on it . Alt: Namjoon in the Dynamite music video. He is in a brightly lit record store and pulls up a record as he leans over the shelf. The record is Dynamite (of course), which has the word written in different colors of pastel. Namjoon is wearing white and his hair is blue.

BTS as ppl I encounter at record stores:

NJ: Crate digger, but not a jerk about it. He WILL look through everything but he also reads really fast, so by the time you're flipping through the next section, he's already in the next row. Is either there for hours or for just a few minutes after work.

Keeping the body warm is important to avoid cramps etc during long reheasals with bursts of intensive exersion and puffy jackets are light, loose, and easy to shrug off. And they contain/hide sweatiness and all of its consequences.

The sevens on MOTS had serifs and other type-face details. These tattooed sevens are handwritten.

Just a heads up to my moots following this account, they're posting AI images that are generated from the blurry teaser posters we got on Weverse.

A quince! That was not on my radar.

Good to know it's an actual shrub. My mind was trying to infer a trunk structure that could support that branching and nothing added up to a happy tree.

Before K-Pop there was… the Arirang? The First Korean students at Howard University Korean student singers dazzle the girls of Howard in 1896

The Korean men were “solemn, sedate, and observing” and “were surrounded by a dozen persuasive damsels, who begged them to sing.”

Here is the review article of the original 1896 Washington Post Article: boundarystones.weta.org/2020/02/12/k...

Great Read!

I really thought there was a way to opt out of seeing fic and author stats but it must have been a skin option, not a setting of the main site.

For readers, making stats optional sounds very relevant!

12.03.2026 18:54 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

Its been interesting to see people have very different reactions to this suggestion of reader stats. We already use the platform in our own ways.

12.03.2026 18:18 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

My main reason for raising these questions is the challenge of helping readers recognise what they are contributing to a creative community when it is big and when it is smaller. explained better in this thread.

Fair point, but community building outside of archive has been repeatedly foiled by social media migrations. I also don't want to burden the platform and yet its become a strange point of contact and stability across a fractured internet. Its structure is defining our culture already, healthy or not

People claiming that they don't know what to say in comments is baffling when examples are everywhere. But its a position that reflects a disconnect with other readers. Developing readers mutual awareness is maybe the goal, whether or not numbers are involved (publically). Id love private stats too.

Writers don't need everyone leaving massive comments, but a thinning fic community needs proprotionally more readers showing interest for writers to keep writing. And that means some of the silent need to realise they have a role to play in this creative space, one way or another.

12.03.2026 14:31 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

But when fandoms change and readers don't notice, many bring their "big crowd" habits of quiet consumption to works that are getting less attention. And this results in creators feeling lost with little sense of how their work is being received. Silent hits are incredibly ambiguous!

12.03.2026 14:31 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

At a concert, performers can get enough feedback from a small subset of a large crowd, while a small audience will instinctively be more effusive (proportionally), because creators need at least a little something or they'll quit. And same in fic: rareships get more comments per hit than top ships.

12.03.2026 14:31 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

People often enter a fandom through very popular works and at a time when the fandom is growing. These conditions can make individual reader feedback feel inconsequential in the tide of excitement. As readers dig deeper and fandoms age, the number of readers for any given work goes down.

Sort of, yeah, thank you. I don't mean to suggest you are doing something wrong. The readership is heterogeneous and that's ok. Whether/how readers adjust their behaviour for the size of audience they assume a work has is where I see creator-reader relations getting lopsided on AO3.

Found this again and ughhhhh I needed it today. Maybe you also need Yoongi talking nicely to you.

ok. What are you basing that judgement of (not) lopsidedness on? Do you pay attention to the behaviour of other readers? Do you feel differently about leaving kudos or comments on fics with a lot of feedback vs very little?

And now Namjoon is posting a little indoor cherry tree!!?! 🥹 (OK maybe its a plum tree, its hard to check the petals at this resolution) Still my imaginary Taejoon tree carer dreams keep being watered.

Your point about quantization exposing readers to judgement is a real risk, norms would form quickly and could go a few ways. I don't know that numbers are the best way to go, its just onn within-platform stick/carrot available to challenge the lopsided dynamics between creators and readers.

11.03.2026 12:41 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0

I appreciate the point of keeping it an archive, but AO3 already has metrics that create the competition. The creator population is being ranked by default while the consumer population has very little structural encouragement to develop supportive behaviours. Lurkers take without building community

funny they call it an opening move for the Arirang comeback when "What is your love song?" was a huge multi-platform and multi-city campaign just a month ago
