Super happy to honor Assemblymember Garcia on our 2025 Climate Action Caucus!
Asm. Garcia boldly led on tools that could slash emissions from major pollution hotspots like warehouses and ports across the entire state (AB 914).
Excited to honor Assemblymember Petrie-Norris!
As Chair of the Assembly Energy Committee, she advanced a policy many years in the making to improve energy efficiency, reliability, and affordability for Californians through clean energy coordination with Western states (AB 825).
Thank you to Sen. Becker for your climate leadership! Senator Beckerβs bill on electricity affordability (SB 254) was a bright spot in 2025. His landmark policy lowers bills and protects Californians, especially low- and middle-income families.
Across the country, states are following Washingtonβs lead and pushing copycat bills modeled after the SAVE Act. This would strip away our freedom to vote at the local level. Voting is our power, not a privilege for politicians to control. Tell your state lawmakers: vote NO on anti-voter bills.

βThis bill is about shifting the burden off families, homeowners, and taxpayers, and placing it where it belongs: on the corporate polluters that knowingly caused this damage.β

βThe next governor is going to have to do everything left of the next fire to make sure that weβre resilient and ready. We can be the 4th largest economy in the world, but what does that mean if the biggest beneficiaries are creating more problems than they solve?β
@ericswalwell.bsky.social
βWeβre seeing corporate arrogance and a sense that they donβt have to obey the law. In [CA], that absolutely can't be true. It's the governor's job to make sure that the companies responsible live up to their legal and moral responsibilities.β
Tom Steyer at EnviroVoters' Forum
At EnviroVoters' climate-focused gubernatorial forum, @katieporterca.bsky.social underscored that clean energy is cheaper, and key to meeting both climate and affordability goals.
βWe have to move away from the energy sources of yesterday.β
βIn the first 100 days, one of the first moves Iβll make is to freeze utility rates and freeze insurance premiums on homes, because I think the CA public is now due a clear, transparent response on why those costs have gone so high before we move forward.β
Xavier Becerra, EnviroVoters' Forum
"The next governor is going to have to do everything left of the next fire to make sure that weβre resilient and weβre ready. So, yes, we can always be the fourth-largest economy in the world..."
-Eric Swalwell, US Representative

"We canβt leave the hardest-working, lowest-earning families behind. They have to be part of this process and believe that whatever we do will help them."
-Xavier Becerra, Civil Rights Attorney.

βSo, if weβre going to be able to achieve our climate goals and our affordability goals we have to move away from the energy sources of yesterday. We shouldnβt be doing more drilling.β
