She did enter the race VERY late….a strategy that also didn’t bode well for Kamala. She repeated the same mistake.
She had to overcome a narrative that she was unable to beat a white man, and that narrative was perpetuated by people of her own party who held no actual voting authority in TX. Stacey’s battle was unfamiliarity while Crocketts battle was whether or not she was poised to tackle white supremacy.
I’m not disagreeing w/ what you are saying but I do believe that it is the nat positioning of this election that hurt her the most vs what actually took place in TX. GA and TX though similar, aren’t the same in that regard. Any concerted effort in the RGV and West Texas would’ve been fruitless.
She didn’t run a bad campaign, while he out spent her, she didn’t need that to reach perspective voters. No $ would’ve changed the uphill climb.
People who don’t live in Texas forget that she was not running a nat strategy and Talarico was bolstered by nat attention & his proximity to whiteness.
