A large collection of fans at the first-ever Adventure Game Fan Fair. Roberta Vaughan is left-center, in a blue tee.
Roberta was, and is, this community. Half a world away, planning AGFF online, she felt like she was right there.
Now, far too soon, she has passed... though I doubt her energy will ever leave the lives it has touched so strongly.
Godspeed -- and if you're reading this... thank you for everything.
When someone passes away, its our memories that keep them alive in our hearts. Sadly I don't have any personal memories of Roberta Vaughan, but I did see her name all over the adventure game community. She will definitely be missed by many. My deepest condolences to family and friends...

I grieve a friend, Roberta Vaughan, who passed on today. She commissioned this piece from me: 'Colossal Cave'. When I look at it now, I think about how perhaps her spirit continues to adventure on, somewhere in eternity. Either way, this little bit of beauty simply wouldn't exist without her. 💔

I was going through an old backpack and found this replica Gabriel Knight schattenjäger talisman that Roberta Vaughan gave me at the AGFF last summer. She passed away a few days ago, so finding this NOW hit me right in the soul.
Anyway, it’s now hung up next to my desk. RIP Roberta, and thank you.
