Perspective for DBS manga fans:
As I'm doing some V-Jump documentation, I learned about Digimon World Re:Digitize Encode, which began in the June 2013 issue. After its 9th chapter, it went digital only. After 22, it went on hiatus. Today, in *2026*, V-Jump's website *still* lists it as on hiatus.

While the newer PKMN-intros (JP and US) won`t reach the heights of the old ones, some of the covers of the older songs are really well done! I love first XY opening, especially the Norwegian one!

like his first appearence in the Macy's-parade, I'm saddened. Games, merch etc. has also mostly ignorered OG DB in favor of DBS, which is a major bummer.
DBS is the worst thing to happen to the franchise, because of how much DBS has taken over the attention that should be given to the original manga/series. Whenever we get Goku in one if his DBS-forms instead of something from Toriyama's original manga,

I think that part of Toriyama has been lost in the eternal escalation of Dragon Ball. I'm looking forward to reading the rest, and watching the OVA soon!

The art is incredible, the jokes hit, and I enjoy the world the chapter it set up, but what I'm left with after reading is how much I really love Toriyama's designs for not just aliens and heroes, but how he creates fun characters out of regular people.
Sadly, all I managed to squeeze in before the deadline was the first chapter. Luckily, it was a really enjoyable chapter. After all the discussions about what parts of the franchise "feels like Toriyama" or not, it felt incredibly comforting to go back to something from the man himself.

Yeah! One of the reasons I was so glad Stephanie got invited back for Daima, she`s really good as silly Goku! Daima also portrayed Goku better than Super did for me, with an actualy serious/adult side when needed. Reminded me of the good parts of Goku vs. Baby in GT actually!
Yeah, for not it seems that she only gets to play Daima Goku. Colleen Clickenbierd has returned to voice DG and GT Goku in the games even after Daima started. I like Colleen`s Gohan, but I still prefer Stephanie for Goku.
