Das ist Witzige ist: Man kriegt Coke in manchen Gegenden der USA an jeder Ecke auf diese Art. Man nennt das einen Float.
Außerdem wird Coca-Cola auch meistens als Sirup ausgeliefert.

Probably a double exposure. Someone photographed the manuscript, forgot to label the tape, and but it back with the empty ones.
Next person comes along and photographs the newspaper and labels it properly.

As I pointed out in a response on Twitter once, these autofills are done by picking a rectangluar piece of the page and then mirroring it, to create a crude repeating pattern.

Das Problem ist wohl folgendes:
Konstruktion "clingy":
-> Fast immer ohne Objekt
-> Fast immer mit aktivem Subjekt (Expartner etc.)
Konstruktion "fesselnd":
-> Fast immer mit Objekt
-> Fast immer mit inaktivem Subjekt (Erlebnis, Buch etc.)
Für den Leser werden hier beide Heuristiken verletzt

Though admittedly, a few thousand of those archival pages are "just" letters between the official slang collectors in WW2, discussing their surveys and so on. Currently the entire official collections of WW1 and WW2 are lost, except for a few fragments in archives and some permanents loans I have.
