I don't know if SCREAM 4 is the best films in the series. I don't really care about thinking like that, but it is definitely my favorite and I think there is a really strong argument that it is still more relevant than any entries that came before or since.
Also it has Kirby and Jill so...🏆

At a formative age, I watched Alexis Arquette attempt to use a patio umbrella to hospitalize a man for being obnoxiously transphobic.
A healthy film industry makes sleazy movies. Weird, borderline kink films are like coal mine canaries- they're offensive, often deeply personal, and a foil to the clean blandness of big budget propaganda. A lack of bizarre "not to everyone's taste" films is an indicator of a sickly studio ecosystem.
Much to BJ's chagrin, I have only seen the 1991 version of Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead once (and apparently forgot a lot of it). So this remake is pretty fresh to me but I really did loved it.
Very clever writing, fun performances, just a nice, little movie that deserves your time.
I hope they make Becky movies forever.

I care about Shoresy because I care about physicality. It's dialog sings but the contact reminds me that we are alive. Martial arts films, professional wrestling, getting in the pit, sex, hockey, or any other shared feeling of experience or entertainment where we just collide is as human as it get.
Music never sounds better than when you are driving on the highway at night.

You know, I really don't know what I thought Say Anything was prior to watching it but it definitely wasn't what it, in fact, is.
Having someone like @alexsteed.bsky.social who has such deep fondness for this movie made it worth waiting to finally see it.
