Sometimes. But other times it's so good it hurts to look at!

Is radon overblown? I see it listed as second biggest cause of lung cancer but I think that includes people exposed to dust with radon, vs radon gas that might show up in your basement.
Any papers or simulations published on this yet? Or is it still being researched?
This is really cool! Why not just publish on your website? It seems people take you seriously enough that someone might pick up the project and put it through a funded research program.
Is that THE @craigreynolds.bsky.social? Ha! When researching this and realizing how important you were to the field, I wanted to interview you but we were too far along in production.
I'm a huge fan of what you did there!
PBS has a new video out with @drjoehanson.bsky.social.
Check out the writer credits ;)

Can you name all the species, or at least the genera?

I have hundreds of photos to share from this year's Evolution Tour in the Amazon jungle, but first, shout-out to @scibugs.bsky.social for finding us a neon pink Jesus bus! I love that this exists!
A black butterfly with faint iridescent blue near the wing edges and small red-orange spots rests on a green plant bud, its wings partially open against a softly blurred forest background.
A small beetle with a shiny black body marked by pale yellow spots and a yellow-orange thorax stands on the edge of a bright green leaf, with fine antennae extending forward.
A white, fuzzy, oval-shaped caterpillar hangs vertically from a thin green stem, surrounded by large green leaves and dark forest ground beneath.
A peacock katydid (Pterochroza ocellata) with wings spread wide displays large, eye-like patterns in pink, black, and turquoise tones, standing on leaf litter on the forest floor, the rear of its body facing the camera.
My son & I just completed the incredible Evolution Tour 2025 hosted and led by the amazing @scibugs.bsky.social and @statedclearly.bsky.social. We experienced and learned a ton, met some awesome new friends, and got to play a small part in protecting our precious Amazon rainforest. #EvoTour2025 πͺ²ππ

Is the genetic code a real code? This debate will not die. Hopefully this helps: youtu.be/1dqvxP6DoU0?...
Great video, covering a lot of non-trivial stuff very nicely!
Now with convenient chapters for easy navigation through the topics, just in case anyone doesnβt have a full hour spare to listen to me and @statedclearly.bsky.social talking about social insects π
And here it is, my interview with @juliet-turner.bsky.social youtu.be/v_46GqZDZCk?...
We saved the twitter slop for the end so trolls might learn something as they desperately wait to see if she mentions them.
Also, shoutout to @alexwild.bsky.social for letting her use his photos in this!
Nice! I suggest birding for the next 20.
Comic page from "My Evolution" created in collaboration with Science & Religion: Exploring the Spectrum at Birmingham University. The page features an image of William Blake's "Ancient of Days" reaching down with a large compass. The caption reads "In the beginning... I was a creationist. But my thoughts about origins changed..." Panels art shoes Adam & Eve as early hominids, and a cartoon of me as a teenager and present day (as of 2017 when I still had hair) "sharing the same brain."
Comic panel of me walking past a church and looking on at a seemingly happy family inside, a puff of my breath visible in the cold air.
Cover art of "My Evolution" comic about the research of the Science & Religion: Exploring the Spectrum project at Birmingham University. The illustration features a view of me from behind as I stare at a white tree (in the shape of the project logo) with a snake on one branch and an avian dinosaur on another.
I'm normally a pretty private person, but today marks a significant personal milestone where I have now lived for as long as a "non-Christian" as I had growing up a sincerely believing Christian into my 20s.
I've touched briefly on my experiences in some of my comics...
I made this for my interview with Dr. Juliet Turner. Video is out soon!
I'm sure you've heard about the so called "fertility crisis", but is it real? If so, how real and what's causing it?
