Meles Lutra's music is part celebration of the beauty of nature, & part elegy for what has been lost. Meles Lutra create woodwind-focused folk, with influences including jazz, classical and prog https://meleslutra.bandcamp.com/

Back from 10 days in our favourite place, and raring to go. Currently putting the finishing touches to songs about dolphins and mermaids. #IslesOfScilly
Absolutely!
I think art, literature and music have a real role to play in encouraging people to rekindle that relationship with nature.

Benny's ready to record his vocals. He's been chipping in with backing vocals while I was recording my part. #HomeStudio #TroubleCat
Our song, Shaking the Dust, was originally inspired by various examples of the shoddy treatment of friends and strangers who have come and contributed so much to the life, history and culture of the UK. We hope it's a songs which can tell more than one story⦠meleslutra.bandcamp.com/track/shakin...
It's Bandcamp Friday, so a great day to support the independent musicians you love! meleslutra.bandcamp.com/album/meles-...
An image of a lion's face surrounded by flowers found in the UK in March (daffodils, primroses, blackthorn, snowdrops, three cornered leek, aconite, speedwell, gorse, violets, crocuses, herb robert, red campion, periwinkle and stitchwort). Made out of paper quilling, against a green background.
I'm really enjoying making art/craft inspired by the songs we're working on. Here's a sneak peak at one I finished at the weekend - it's called In Like A Lion #folkmusic #quilling #lion

Eric Bibb and his band at Sidmouth Jazz and Blues Festival
Just had an amazing weekend at the Sidmouth Jazz & Blues Fest! The seaside town was charming, and the music was phenomenal. Highlights: finally seeing Eric Bibb live, plus Martin Harley and JTQ were incredible. Also loved the educational sessions. #JazzFestival #LiveMusic
The otter, is one of our favourite animals & one of the most joyous sights to be seen in our islands. In this track we try to capture some of their energy and exuberance, the grace with which they move between land and water, and their fun.Β #WorldOtterDay

So exciting to get a song back from our mixing magician Paul - really pleased with how this one is shaping up. It's inspired by a Celtic saint and hunt saboteur... I got over-excited and made a linoprint for it as well... #Cornwall #FolkMusic
Happy Easter everyone! Now the Green Blade Riseth celebrates the hope of Easter. It's also our first song to feature harp. meleslutra.bandcamp.com/track/now-th...

It's now a year since I started learning harp. It's wonderful playing an instrument that sounds lovely even when I play the wrong notes. I'm not the only one in the family who loves playing harp! #Cats #MusicalCats #harp #trouble

Today's #TolkeinReadingDay. We love #LordOfTheRings - in fact, our song The End of the Age was inspired by the Fellowship of the Rings. Its message seems appropriate in these strange and difficult times.
