one of the main complaints ive seen of daredevil: born again is how the Muse plot ended. to which i would say, Muse is a two dimensional one-trick "evil artist" villain with a power so fucking stupid im glad they cut it. Using him a political tool and murdering him was the best possible ending

Just voted in the Audioverse Awards- that was horrifying. The amount of incredible audiodrama productions this year was almost untenable. I only have so many hours a day, people

That's not game design though, you could run an entire session saying "that's reasonable" with varying explanations. It's empty space where a tool should be, not a tool in itself
This is what I mean! They seem to have added a lot of explanation and detail in post, but as a core book, it's a glaring omission in a horror game. But at least i know how automatic rifles work, while saying "you should always avoid combat"
I can see that! I might give a listen, they do have some great design and ideas in mothership. Just feels more confusing that they didn't design this part - not giving a tool to the GM isn't a tool, it's saying "you'll figure it out" yknow? And any game can do that
I guess my problem is that Mothership doesn't Do hiding. As in its not even mentioned as an idea proper in the entire book. The fact that it says "combat should be avoided", then gives huge information on combat mechanics and zero for stealth - that's a game design problem.
I can understand that, and with a good GM that can make a great back and forth- but the complete lack of tools (and zero mention of the ideas) in the book, while giving extremely in depth and granular skills, combat and ship management systems, makes it feel more like an oversight yknow?
I can see how it could be done like that- guess I'm a little peeved that it markets itself as a scifi horror game but dedicates huge amounts of time to firearm and ship combat, and completely skips these horror mechanics. Feels like they didnt make the game they actually wanted to.
