Graduate PLUS loan program will be capped, July 2026 under this bill. It currently allows graduate students to borrow the full cost of attendance. It will be replaced with a cap of $100K for graduate students and $200K for medical or law programs.
Low-income graduate students will have no options.

I haven't gotten this alert, but many, many people with either federal or private student loans are seeing a huge drop in their scores in the last 24 hours. I'm hearing anywhere from a 25 point decrease to more than 100 points in some cases. Everyone is reporting their payments are current??
