I met so many great people at GAMA Expo. It was a wonderful experience but I'm also ready to be home. Thank you to everyone that took the time to chat with me and show off your games.
2026 is going to be another great year for all things tabletop!

Today's State of Play gets a 7/10 from me. The second half really brought some great announcements and showcases. Glad to see Konami is bringing their franchises back in force.
Discord setting a new record for speed-running enshittification lately
yaaaay happy #PortfolioDay! Before being freelance, I was a senior illustrator and concept artist in the game industry for 12 years. On the job hunt still, but also enjoying drawing for myself and growing as an independent artist!
Behold... My Stuff!
This is the haul I brought back from #PAXUnplugged last weekend. We didn't have the luggage space for more (probably a good call).
We got some really fun TTRPGs and boardgames I am looking forward to trying out, along with the @ourbrilliantruin.com graphic novel release!
If you are in ATL, come out and support small creators! @shaucatcosplay.bsky.social and I will be selling at booth 65 as Moonforge & Brightleaf! We'll have enamel pins, handmade earrings, Magic tokens, art prints, and more! β¨
Of course! I'm waiting for Domeskai Tamers to release so I can grab a copy of that as well!
Shout-out to some of the creators of these awesome games!
- Body Hammer: @sneakernetmusic.bandcamp.com
- The Mystery Business: @lysander03.bsky.social
- Machine: Impossible: @jacobmooney.bsky.social
Five books are in the middle of the image. From left to right, they are titled: Machine Impossible, Body Hammer, Mythomorphosis, Microscope, and The Mystery Business. The background of the image is dark purple and has a turquoise green tentacle reaching from each of both the bottom of the image and the top of the image towards the books.
Here is my #PAXUnplugged indie #ttrpg haul! I'm excited to finally have copies of Microscope and The Mystery Business in my physical library.
I wish I could have grabbed more books, but luggage space was at a premium π₯²
Happy to talk more, character limit makes it tough to get into a lot of details here.
I ran the Our Brilliant Ruin Kickstarter a couple years back and learned a ton from it.
- Gamefound is best for big boardgames with lots of minis and extras. Also supports AI usage (ew)
- Backerkit is great for projects (esp. TTRPGs) from small teams. The BK team offers a lot of support.
- Kickstarter is good but visibility is tough. Need a lot of hype building to get noticed.
#PAXUnplugged was amazing. I got to play three new TTRPGs (Orbital Blues, Dungeons and Kittens, and an early playtest game), played a lot of Commander, and got to catch up with old friends and make some new ones.
Happy to be home but already excited for next year! β¨ More posts coming soon!
Congratulations Harper!
Everyone go check this game out and wish Harper a happy birthday! β₯οΈ
So excited to head to PAX Unplugged again, last year was amazing!
Yes! Nerdy vacation!!
#TTRPG actual play creators, actors, producers, etc: What advice would you give to a new channel joining the space? Anything you wish you knew when you started or any general tips you can offer?
I'll be launching a new channel next year and would love to learn from you all!
Thank you! It's been a long road to get here but I am very happy it paid off.
It's kind of a buzzword and varies from game to game. To me, I want a cinematic game to give the players the tools to do cool, impactful stuff regularly that are not beholden to a lot of simulationist designs.
It's so difficult keeping up with all the social media apps, I totally forgot to make the exciting announcement here that I started my new role at Card Kingdom last week!
My career journey has taken me through videogames, TTRPGs, and now Magic: The Gathering! What an amazing wild ride it's been.
It's so good!!
Perfect Draw or Beam Saber, and I'm picking Good Morning World! from Dr. Stone.
I'm so glad we have an honorary president of Dropout for when the class war starts and we need to replace Sam Reich
The search for work continues!
- Podcast Editing
- Sound Design
- TTRPG Design
- TTRPG Editing
- Project Coordination
Those are the things I'm best at/want to do the most.
Please boost and share! Rates will follow.
This is awesome, we have a local organization here that promotes TTRPGs and therapy and I think that can be such a great resource and tool for people.
It was so fun!! The last sequence getting to the escape ship had some very fun character moments π
I've been super interested in this system, I'll check it out!
Just ran Rapscallion this past weekend, next week is Fallout, playing Magnus Archives at Dragon Con, and potentially running Daggerheart at some point. Should be a good month!
Just ran the first session of Rapscallion from @magpiegames.bsky.social! I really love the meta-currencies the game offers. It's a bit crunchier than other PBTA games, but offers a lot of depth for players to interact with. A solid #ttrpg I'm excited to explore more!
Every year the TTRPG scene just has to blow up a bit I guess.
Wishing the best to those affected, it's a horrible situation to be in.
