Oh, totally. Staples gave me perpetual people-pleasing behaviors and Starbucks gave me straight-up something along the lines of General Anxiety Disorder on top of my already-existing Social Anxiety Disorder.

I am WORSE OFF for having those jobs.

That's okay. I spent 9 years of my 42 on this planet at stupid Staples. A job's a job!

I moved mountains for the gym, Staples, Starbucks, and Sony. If they ever acted like they cared, it was just an act. They caused so many depressive episodes, holy shit.

But nope. Current job is awesome. As my boss's boss describes it:

We don't plan to be good at where we end up. We just... are.

No lie, though. This job at a law firm has been the one and only job, among many I neglected to list, that HASN'T treated me like a total idiot and mud on their shoe.

I strike up convos with my boss's boss now and then. He asks me why I still like it here.

"Because they treat me nicely." Always.

Five jobs I've held:

1. Starbucks barista (it gave me chronic fatigue syndrome from the stress, yay!)
2. Staples cashier/Print associate

4. Gym receptionist
5. Print/mail/gopher at a law firm! Hell yeah this is the BEST JOB ❤️

I wanted to see if I could paint a #yoshi that glowed in the dark from their nose. Without line art as a reference. From scratch. In 15 minutes.

I talked with @animecwboy.bsky.social. I sort of realized the reason I don't draw anymore is either because I'm relearning old stuff that I've forgotten or I don't have anything I haven't done before.

The recent stuff has been a challenge. Whether I succeed or not, it's still something to try.

@animecwboy.bsky.social speaks the truth.

And it looks about the same on my monitors compared to his, so I was screwed either way.

Go for it! Have fun! It's easier if you start at, like, 75% dark grey and work your way up the color spectrum.

Since CDs are flat, I had to sort of do a mix of the images below.

I often forget that NiD is effectively a love story, with Claris and Elliot’s adventures culminating in a moment of finding each other presumably both outside and inside of their dreams. And NiGHTS brought them together 💜
