I attended the Alberta Beef Industry Conference and met hardworking Albertans who support our agricultural sector. Strengthening Alberta’s economy includes expanding agricultural opportunities. We must create an environment that will bring more investment and good paying jobs.
Food bank has increased 134% since the UCP took office.
Through highs and lows, their incompetence is the only thing that remains steady.

The UCP government’s budget makes life more expensive for Albertans. The 2026 budget includes increases to:
• property taxes
• fees for seniors living in continuing care
• vehicle registration costs
• registration costs for small businesses
• fees for trade workers to get certified
The UCP squandered Alberta’s near-record resource wealth and still produced a $9.4 -billion deficit—a failure of basic financial management.
Somehow, under some of strongest economic conditions in a generation, life is going to cost you more.

As we approach the Alberta budget, it’s worth remembering that in 2024 Premier Danielle Smith requested increased immigration allocations and backed an aggressive plan to double Alberta’s population.
That was the position then.
Now, the narrative sounds very different.
The UCP government is trying to distract Albertans ahead of a large budget deficit next week.

This morning, I was with community leaders to support the breakfast club at M.E. LaZerte School. We need to support breakfast programs in schools at the provincial level to ensure every child, in every school, can start their day with food so they can focus and learn.
Thank you to the volunteers at Horse Hill Community League for joining me at the Fire & Ice Event in Cy Becker last weekend. It was great to speak with so many constituents by the warm fire. It’s one of my favourite events of the year.

It was a great morning with Dr. Donald Massey School watching and cheering on the Men's Olympic team and celebrating with all the youth. Every time we scored was just a great reminder about why we love Canada and the importance of team work.
This is a national tragedy and I am absolutely heartbroken. I join all Canadians in standing with the people of Tumbler Ridge. I send my condolences to the families and friends of those killed in this horrific event, and I am praying for a quick recovery for those injured. (1/2)

It was a pleasure to attend the Edmonton Interfaith Breakfast this morning. We always need to ensure that human rights are respected and upheld and I am committed to doing so everyday.
Albertans have worked their entire lives for their retirement and deserve to know their pensions are safe. They don’t want the UCP government gambling with their savings or risking a costly exit from the CPP.
I will continue standing up for Albertans and protecting your pension.
