Just FYI
One of the rare films that basically couldnβt be changed in any way to make it better
Just opened a wheel of havarti I made just after the new year and I am pleased to report that it is mild, nutty and elastic.
Just went poking around a few showrooms looking at EVs. Bit disappointed with the EV3 but the BYDs feel a lot better. VW nearly there but for some daft UI choices. Quite intrigued by a lowish km EV6 for $39kβ¦
California Dreaming is used in Forrest Gump and Chungking Express
Itβs so bad it gives me the fidgets! Iβm definitely a sound wanker though.
My wife listens to it (or something similar) every now and then me I canβt even get past the weird declamatory tone they all use and the ghastly compression on the audio.
Slightly adjust my username for funsies.
I just heard the following exchange, which was between a Australian-Vietnamese woman and an anglo bloke:
Her: I was actually born on a boat between Vietnam and Malaysia
Him: Nice, were your parents on holiday or something?
I've got a feeling, I've got a bit of an inkling, this is gonna be one of those days
No Pata Negra for you!
A twin peaks style opening image with text reading Sarah Palin performed Baby Got Back
I don't think this is going to reach the audience that needs it most (tradies in Rangers)

Getting the button ready for some posting
Strike while the iron is hot: Old, hard to relate to (who is familar with the metallurgical arts these days?)
Rinse the bowl before the weetbix turn into concrete: modern, easy to grasp
Huh. Richard Perle is still alive.
BREAKING: It March
Iβve just a lovely afternoon and evening away from all sources of news. Now to log on and see if Iβve missed anything
Schnitzel? Oh, German katsu.
I make a point of visiting parliaments elsewhere when I'm overseas. Probably the most memorable was Kyrgyzstan's, which had quite a lot of RPG blast damage on the facade. Iceland's is adorable.
Oh, I'm sure of it. For the most part they don't need close attention at least.
Me, talking to the 10YO: screentime is bad for you, we're limiting your access
Me, going to work: now to spend the day in a small room with 180 separate video screens
If hoopoe birds ever take over then we will be in the Epop Epoch
A panel from Edward Gorey's "The Doubtful Guest," in which the eponymous Guest, a penguin-like creature that wears high-top canvas sneakers, stands in a fireplace, looking up, while reaching down with their fin to pick at the sole of their shoe. A woman in an Edwardian style gown and updo looks on from the right of the fireplace. The caption reads: It betrayed a great liking for peering up flues, and for peeling the soles of its white canvas shoes.
Apparently today is Edward Gorey's birthday, so let me take the opportunity to say that there are few literary characters with whom I have felt a greater sense of kinship than the Doubtful Guest.
I just found out that this year there is going to be a CANBERRA CHEESE FESTIVAL
Sumo mandarins ftw.
From what I gather itβs a lot easier to remember if thereβs just one.
My wife chose to do it because she was a teacher and itβs easier to contact a kidβs parents if they have the same surname than to figure out two different ones. I doubt this is a common reason though.
