I'm so grateful for the impact that Judy Heumann + others in her generation had in our world, all so that younger kiddos like me (I'm only 42, after all!) could have more dignified, integrated, fulfilling lives. Thank you, Judy, for your tremendous efforts. They will never be forgotten.

It is hard to believe it's been three years since Judy passed away. 💔 I remember our first meeting like it was yesterday - in fact, I wrote a whole chapter about it! Judy made a huge impression on me. Her warmth, wisdom & the interest she took in younger generations of disabled people was inspiring.
