I still have my issues of course. The 3D models they have nowadays really clash (haha) with their prerendered assets and the balance of some stuff is a bit off but idk, I've legit been having a fun time.

It's still not a game for everyone but I really wouldn't call it generic mobile garbage.

I'm probably in no place to speak since I'm only TH 11 but most of what I've witnessed was positive so far. The Hero items add much more depth to the way you approach battle and, while it took a bit, I did eventually warm up to the builder base rework (even if it's sorta abandoned nowadays).

This also leads to resource gathering being much faster and that's without considering the events that boost your earnings.

Yeah, building stuff still takes forever but I sorta accepted mobile games are made to either be played real quickly or to have a progression you just chip away at.

Returning to it between this year and last one, I was skeptical of what the changes amounted to but they do make the package much nicer.

No training time coupled with the league rework gives you a much better space to develop strategies and a lot of the pressure surrpunding trophies is just gone.

Gotta be honest, I really don't get the hatred for Clash of Clans.

Yeah, it's pretty bloated right now and has a bunch of microtransactions and stuff, but coming back to it recently has been some of the most fun I ever had in this game.
