Exciter!!!
I was aware of the Spooky Tooth cover. However, I recently learned JP never performed βInciterβ live until a few years ago.
By far the Priest album Iβve listened to the most over the past 20 years.
Better By You, Better Than Me is one of my favorite Judas Priest songs that has quite the history:

Well, me using βded airβ is just me being lazy. Perhaps it was called Dead At Night?
Public Radio station KPFT is part of the Pacifica family, I do recall some of the weekly shows being syndicated from Berkeley.
Are you familiar with the BrokeDown pod:

Then I was in a mixtape trade group in later 90βs with 8-10 different people. We typically traded homemade mixtapes every 3-4 months. In one trade one of the members included a dubbed GD tape as an βextra,β each member receiving a different showβ¦β¦that was really cool!
Sunday nights back in late 80βs / early 90βs Houston Public Radio had a Dead Air show. Canβt say it was appointment listening for me, but I typically enjoyed what I heard when I did tune in.
The way people could recall dates, locations and setlists kind of blew me awayβ¦β¦still does!
A buddy who I regularly made mixtapes for back in early 90βs went abroad for higher education. He got a part time gig tending bar in some London pub and would occasionally play my mixtapes for the patrons π»
Kind of, I donβt have a single Dead Tape anymore as I lost the two I had when our home flooded back in 2017.
But I occasionally listen via Archive and Garcia live show available via streaming services.
but such an impressive GD tape collection to have at record store that also serves beer on tap
βNot For Saleβ
For someone who needs to get better organized, this is inspiring!!!

Congratulations! Reality = it was sold out before you even thought about putting it out!

This week on A 5-Minute Hour, Crank Sturgeon amplifies his bird feeder. Marlene Russum Scott sends us some mail art. Nicolas Ballet continues his industrial chitchat in which I remember Masami Akita aka Merzbow. Jessica starts work on her latest doll creation. youtu.be/C9ulbX5i3BQ
This is what #CassetteTapeLove looks like π
Honorable mention to SWANS.
However, for no particular reason other than I havenβt seen this album mentioned in a long time:
The Darling Buds - Crawdaddy
Someone made this with love. How long have you had it?
Emmylou Harris: βItβs a lot harder, isnβt it, to just live a long life?β
As the country music titan prepares for her final European performances, she speaks to Louis Chilton about life, mortality, and being part of the βgreatest eraβ of music
