For econ RCTs: Make your pre-analysis plan public in the AEA registry before submitting to a journal. Most people set them as private initially and never update that. If you're lucky, referees ask the editor to nag you. More often, no one knows what's prespecified, increasing chance of rejection.

A memory imprinted on me from 25 years ago is Claudia Goldin (well on her way to a Nobel Prize) saying her salutation in cold emails to faculty is "Dear Prof. X". Maybe that's overkill, but I truly don't get the mindset of undergrads I've never met emailing "Dear Seema." Weakly dominated strategy.
The context window of an LLM limits how much can be read at once but you can have an initial search step or use multiple model calls to the LLM.
It’s also pretty easy to concatenate these and feed them into an LLM and ask the LLM questions about what is in the files.
