Come on, spring, we can use your presence these days—the leaves, the flowers, returning birds. These crocus are the first to come up in my front yard, under a dogwood; the snowdrops are on the hillside a quarter mile away, the abandoned house of Minnie Hite Moody, local author, who died in 1993.
