Spent the last few evenings working on a study of my favorite figure skater, Amber Glenn, using a photo from her gala skate at the most recent Olympics. Total time was 6.5 hours and I had a blast ⛸️

The same poster as the slide before, but now truly fit for movie. Between the wolf and the man the title of the fic “no body, no crime” in a bight cyan bursts through the mist in a Fraktur font. I think I might actually be more comfortable straight up painting 🫣 for studies at least. I often feel like I can see and manipulate the shapes better this way, and I don’t accidentally end up getting attached to pretty lineart. It’s also a nice exercise. Though I am also working on my lines 🙊

And while I am on it: a study from a few days ago, that came out really well. Was able to get some nice textures and color variation with some filtering, and got to this dark fantasy look I have always liked but never quite achieved before.
