Trouble at Tesla and protests against Trump’s tariffs suggest consumer boycotts are starting to bite If Donald Trump appears deaf to the protests of other governments over his policies, he may still hear the voice of corporate America should consumer boycotts spread.

A short piece from me and Justine Coneybeer on the boycotts to protest Trump administration decisions. Not surprising in this Trump 2.0 era where the line between government and corporate America is dangerously blurred. #boycott #divest #Trump #Tesla #Musk

Academic Work Tracker Template v2.2 (2025)

I have updated the Academic Workload Tracker for 2025. I strongly encourage all academics to track how long you actually work, and at what tasks. It's a crucial way to counter the deliberate wage-theft of obfuscatory university workload models.

I'm very excited that I, and wonderful collaborators @ainsleyelbra.bsky.social + @martijnboersma.bsky.social, have been awarded an ARC Discovery Grant to investigate proxy advisor influence on campaigns for ethical investment on #climatechange, #modernslavery, and First Nations people's #landrights.

Over the last few days I had the privilege of attending the United Nations Business and Human Rights Forum in Geneva. It was great to speak with others around the world who are also interested in how the state, civil society, investors, and corporations can work together to combat #modernslavery.

I am so terribly sorry for your loss Roland, and for the world’s loss. Emma was a wonderfully bright and generous scholar and person. There are no words sufficient enough to convey the sadness of this loss. I’m grateful to have known Emma.

HNY folks! As 2024 gets rolling, I highly suggest you start the year by saving a copy of this spreadsheet @brkeogh.bsky.social makes & tracking yr work!
This will be the 5th yr I've used it. It helps me:
⏰ know I'm working 'enough'
📊 know where I'm spending my time
📝plan my work

Strong recommend!
