I’m no technician but I just rebuilt our streaming PC (aka McStreamy) after it shit the bed. Uniquely satisfying and life affirming to see it roar to life with a new mobo. We’re back in business!
Best lunch date with @kimberleydt.bsky.social involved hitting up a quiet Ikea and grubbing on some $.90 plant dogs. Less than $5 total, full bellies and learning some fun Swedish words all before noon.
Gave up Twitter and life immediately felt better. Zero regrets.

So many homes/residents currently affected by the LA wildfires right now. The pictures coming out of the palisades are heartbreaking - it’s a beautiful area surrounded by trails. The spot Kim and I got engaged is right in the middle of it. Ugh, my heart breaks for everyone there.

Missing Gus something fierce today. Grief has been such a brutal journey - one minute you feel ok, the next you’re shattered into a million pieces. We’re getting through - so thankful for @kimberleydt.bsky.social’s partnership through this. Miss that lil dude.
It is. Absolutely LOVE every bit of it.
We got a demo electric vehicle last year for a crazy deal (non-Tesla). After this storm & still not having power, we’re full converts. Been able to power our appliances all week, charge our backup batteries & only JUST had to use a public charger for 40min to get all our juice back. I’m all in!
We got hit hard by the bomb cyclone and our community was wrecked. What’s wild is a few miles away and zero impact due to rare wind conditions and direction. Likely without power for days ahead, but we’re safe & our home lucky! From around the area:
