Saw sundogs this morning on my drive to work. I noticed them as I was approaching the Mendota Bridge over the Mississippi, showing up on either side of the river. Driving over the bridge toward these pillars of light on either side it felt kind of like I was being ushered into some mystical land.
I’m so sorry - I got sick with a bad cold practically out-of-the-gate with my current job. It sucks extra when you’re trying to make a good positive impression to new coworkers and you haven’t had a chance to accrue PTO/sick time.

It had been a struggle to have a celebratory occasion on the same day that our city and country reflecting on and mourning George Floyd’s loss and the impact it has had. I don’t have a good answer for you, unfortunately, other than to say that I can empathize.
I’m so sorry. My wedding anniversary is May 25th, which is the same day that George Floyd was murdered. It chills my heart knowing the at the same time Allen and I were having our quiet little pandemic anniversary dinner at home, George Floyd was being murdered only a mile away.
Our dog Cloudy turned 12 today! We had a small get together at the park where he got pupcakes and lots of pets and got to visit a few dog and avian friends.
10/10 would recommend.
There weren’t any other customers there when we walked up, and we were able to spend some time chatting wit the owner and trying samples of different flavors. Ultimately I got lavender lemonade with passion fruit lychee cotton candy and Allen got a mix of espresso and coconut coffee cotton candy.

Because the air quality sucks this weekend in Minnesota, Allen and I went on a date to the Maplewood Mall to visit the Spinning Wylde Cloud Bar, where they make 75+ flavors of cotton candy on demand!
I saw the news that it was coming back to Broadway a week or so back and immediately pulled it up to listen to it.
