A coup is an illegal attempt to seize or keep political power by overthrowing or bypassing the lawful government. Pressuring DOJ to claim fake fraud, pushing officials to change votes, and using fake electors were efforts to overturn the election.

Authoritarians usually start the same way: claim elections are rigged, attack the media and courts, demand loyalty to one leader, and punish critics.

In 2028, when Trump stages his next coup against the U.S. Constitution, I wonder if he’ll blame Obama for what’s happening now. I don’t wonder if his supporters will believe it. He has total control over what they think.

In a lot of states it’s illegal for protestors to wear masks at protests but not illegal for ICE. I think the government is more likely to target protestors than protestors targeting ICE.
