I mean, I can't trust my tape measures. Usually they are for rough dimensions only for a reason. It's a tape measure. Not complicated and yet...

I met him once, and yeah. Yeah, he would have. Then while your nose is bleedling he would have told you if the industry had listened to him...
They also proved why the dems lost both times they ran a woman. This country is so disappointing...
They need to stop running and support brining in new senators. They are not who we need for the new fight. And we sure as hell can't be down a senator or two over health issues in the upcoming years.
Our senators are so old they need to stop running, and I doubt they will. Both seem intent on dying in office.
I just noiced how old the record I'm listening to is. I got it new. The record.
Dario missed a big opportunity to create an account and post that announcement here instead of at the nazi bar
Just tell it what you want and include thanks in the request.
Anyone going early will
Interesting if they got the systems/orgnization in place to support this, or they are moving early to force it. If the latter did you keep the right people to make it possible? First mover, not the last.
I was amused that the lobbies of both buildings I visited yesterday were locked, first time in ages. Still had to badge after reception...
indeed. I really think a lot of the compiler vendors aren't competing here anymore either and the open source projects seem under staffed to generate ccompetition the vendors need to get them to act.
Such a heavy weight process. Are any of the compiler vendors even there anymore? Seems to be another dark age until one of them shows some life. Honestly though I think llms are going to start driving a lot of rust adoption.
I have unlimtted tokens and never want to go back
Ah yes, now the real reason tarriff fees didn't go onto everything. Slowly raise prices to cover tarrifs, get tarriff refund, don't lower prices.
Oh yeah sorry forgot about that. I work for the guy so... I should say something but don't. My bad. Maybe next dinner I'll raise it.
I have a small project that is taking me outside of academia to dip into industry, just ever so briefly.
I engage a lot with AI. I was not at all prepared for how industry is using it. Not. at. all.
This brief little window is definitely helping me better frame my teaching in this new world.
Instead they add TV apps and "smart" input detection...
Every few months, I write an updated, idiosyncratic guide on which AIs to use right now.
My new version has the most changes ever, since AI is no longer just about chatbots. To use AI you need to understand how to think about models, apps, and harnesses. open.substack.com/pub/oneusefu...
Sam has a story about an early experiment our team, before I joined, had that went into a spiral they called "hatebot". Some intereresting notions here. sundaylettersfromsam.substack.com/p/the-return...
Once again, Claude gets it right
Outside the world of IoT I found this a fascinating application of the digital twin idea. factory.strongdm.ai/techniques/dtu
OMG these are amazing. Thanks!
Amazing. Do you have a build write up for this? What others have you made? Website?
I've had access for ~year and not used them even once.
Like the PKD story where abortion was legal until you knew algebra. Depending on how that was defined I'm in trouble in my 50s...
The new Laibach song is confusing me... which yeah. It's Laibach but this one is like Confidence Man going commercial. Except still poliitcal? OK, yes. Laibach. It is Laibach. Man 2026 is getting weird all over not just AI.
This is really good, not even done. My favorite take so far? "conservative means conserve my wealth"
who do they think they work for? the good guys?
429?! Only 2m tokens a minute? C'mon! I need moar tokens!
