I’m stuck. I need to level up in my career. I’m not getting any experience in my current role. Every time I try and set goals for myself, I’m paralyzed by half the industry saying do this, while the other half says to do that. I need a mentor. Or just to be pointed in the right direction. #infosec

Brother in law had a seemingly failing external HDD back at Thanksgiving. Finally got it to mount and told him to buy an SSD ASAP to transfer everything over. He had EVERYTHING on this drive.
6 months later, he’s texting me telling me it won’t recognize the drive and when it does, it appears empty
