When the Wolf Comes Home by Nat Cassidy is a tale that is raw, brutal, and haunting. I dove into this one knowing absolutely nothing about it, and I can easily say it’s a story that will forever stick with readers.

What’s more terrifying than a child insisting there’s something in her closet? The moment you realize it’s real and that it’s no longer in the closet…

(2/3) My gosh, this is such an interesting premise! On the surface, it’s a haunted-house horror, but underneath, there’s so much psychological tension and general family drama. The unfazed narrator was the most unsettling element of all for me!
The September House by Carissa Orlando is a tale of a house crawling with secrets, broken people, and something in the basement that is determined to be set free.

The audiobook version of There’s Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins, narrated by Bahni Turpin, is one of those rare audiobooks where the act of listening transforms the story into something far darker, sharper, and more intense than when reading the text, and I was SO here for it!

(2/3) I have to admit, I picked this one solely off the cover (vibes-based decision, no regrets… mostly ;-D). I had zero idea of what I was walking into, but I couldn’t wait to find out! The narrator of the audiobook, Megan Tusing, did an AMAZING job!
This Wretched Valley by Jenny Kiefer isn’t a subtle story. It’s brutal, wild, and starts with a bang that lets you know things are going to go sideways and makes every step toward that result incredibly nerve-racking.

(3/3) Though very slow and drama-heavy at first, once the horror hits, it’s so effective and horrifying! This read is totally worth it, even if you hate dolls, and you can push through the buildup… Especially if you love being uncomfortable!
