It's not that they're trusting "mommy bloggers" over medical expertise. It's that those people - and it's not just women doing it - are able to dispense life threatening medical advice with zero consequences.
I don't know how to say this exactly but I don't think the problem is just that people are willing to believe random people on the expert for medical advice, but that people are able to horrific disseminate medical advice without any consequences.

idk i do think refusing to vaccinate your children is a moral issue. how much blame someone deserves can depend on what type of information they have access to or how capable they are of understanding it, but you are culpable if your children die of a preventable disease. you just are.
