bummed about an opportunity that didnβt work out and worried that my current role is to blame. any thoughts from anyone whoβs pivoted away from a stigmatized industry?
Just a reminder that in 2019, RFK Jr.'s anti-vaccine misinformation campaign helped cause a measles outbreak in Samoa that killed 83 people, mostly kids.
Do you really want him to lead the Department of Health and Human Services?

This year I always had my camera and a small photo box to hand when I was gardening. My children are always finding caterpillars outside, and I wanted to document that a bit this year. With the exception of the garden tiger moth (Arctia caja), they all came from my garden.
Due to [gestures vaguely at everything], I'm evil now.
"First they came for the trans people, and I spoke out immediately even though I'm straight and cis because I've read the rest of the fucking poem."

Iβve seen a few posts recently arguing whether audiobooks count as reading. For me, the important thing is people are able to access books in the way that best suits them, be it ebooks, audiobooks or physical books. Some people donβt get that access at all and we that do are the lucky ones.
just showing off more books from my internship & BFA work π

square photo closeup of passionflower from the side, yellowish tower coming out the middle with arms of anthers and stigma sticking out like spokes on a wheel, and below and firework array of fingery pedals that are white with purple stripes, reddish fuzz in the middle
Purple Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata) definitely one of the most spectacular flowers in North America, and they grow in weedy lots across the south
Iβm going to start by saying this now so there is no future confusion if you decide to follow me:
I believe that being trans is a real thing & I β€οΈ LGBTQIA+ people.
I believe that diversity breeds progress & creative problem solving.
I am ANTI-racist.
I will never not believe these things.
Amazing thank you!
