The centrepiece of the evening will be Mozart’s elegant Piano Concerto No 12 in A major, performed by RHS music scholar, Sofiia Usmanova - a rising star whose musicality and poise will captivate you. 🎹👩‍🎓

Conducted by Richard Laing and led by Dan Kent, the evening of uplifting and much-loved orchestral music begins with Mendelssohn’s sparkling Overture to A Midsummer Night’s Dream and ends with Beethoven’s powerful and revolutionary Eroica Symphony. 🎶

It was a thrill to have inspirational Andy Morley conducting us again this season. His love of the dramatic programme was infectious, and heartstrings were most certainly tugged in this ‘prelude’ to St Valentine’s Day. 👏

❤️🎶 Our next concert is a prelude to St Valentine's Day, with Tchaikovsky's Romeo & Juliet Fantasy Overture followed by selected movements from Prokofiev's Romeo & Juliet Suites 1 & 2. Then, as that is not enough tugging of heartstrings, we present Saint-Saëns' mighty third symphony, the 'Organ'.
