we found the twist!
I think that's the bottom left
Here's some fruit from me playing all those beginner hacks. I don't think that I'll always need to touch on every single level, but this hack was such a grab bag of gimmicks it was hard to leave them out
Selection is happening in random order, and will include standard/kaizo hacks. I'm planning to play all exits for everything, but one was picked one that was extremely out of the scope of what I want to do. I'll be giving scores for how much I like them and how good I think they are for new players.
In early January, I started work on a project that I'm calling my Kaizo Beginnerthon, where I'm playing through every beginner(Advanced and lower) difficulty kaizo romhack of SMW that's on SMW Central. Today, I've played for just over 101 hours and I've completed 73 out of 327.
Check out a new trailer for The Bold Bogey, showing off loads of new additions to the game and a hot new track from our composer Revolug! www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlRf...

Ok, so I didn't do it. I didn't even start on Various Dragons or Thumbshredder, let alone Thumbshredder's dad. I'll get 'em next time. We're a bit into January already so I need to put some goals together for 2026 now...
Get excited, we're doing one of these again. I've been busy and have some fun stuff to show off. See you Sunday night!
6!
This guy, this guy right here was the only thing standing between me and the last banana. His collection is complete, I spent at least 1 of every fossil type, but I just did not have fun collecting fossils and don't want to dive through every layer again to do something I didn't enjoy.
I finished playing as much Donkey Kong: Bananza as I want to. 776/777 bananas collected. What an absolutely incredible game, I played somewhere around 39 hours and thoroughly enjoyed my time with it.
Joker Shell Ok is done!
72:28:21, more than a third of that time was in Springtime Caverns, it set et new records for me both in deaths and time to clear, it's the first time I've used savestate practice to clear a level and it really made me doubt myself for a little bit there. Sheffy 2 next!
Forgot to mention that Cube's 5 was finished back in June with a time of 22:19. Averaged under an hour per level. Currently working on Joker Shell Ok...
Because I just played Jordan's ONE, a romhack with non-standard graphics.
Ah but I've discovered Laura(PC) re-entry skip

Mallow is doing his part, putting the meow in homeowner
I couldn't count the number of "with all due respect" and "no offense but" the YT kids trot out.
The unattainable is unknown... at zombocom!
It's been a month, and I finished The Team Shell Hack today with 7:19 on the timer. Definitely alot of fun, seeing a 38 exit Expert shell hack is intimidating, but there's a smooth difficulty curve building up to the harder stuff at the end. I didn't do the Basic Platforming Level, maybe one day.
Oh yeah, my route was: head, fugu, curtain, yoshi, stair
Welp. I've got one down. poop jump any% is complete. I had gone into it fully expecting to do a 100% clear, but found a level that I knew I just wasn't going to have fun beating. What an incredible hack, it taught me so much about SMW, and it's made me a better player.
this dude really went and put his own fuckin face on the title screen
I hate to break it to you, I'm wearing them right now.
How are you liking fortnite these days?
I'm very far behind, but I'm making my way through creating videos for all of the RomHack Races that I participate in. Here's a short that I just finished, It's Week 205 from August 2022, Mario Mountain by redfeatherz, an SMB2 level.
So fast, I wish I could have gotten that kind of RNG
I've been putting it off for weeks, but Paper Robot finally has a preview trailer. This is meant to give people a quick look at what sort of game I'm building, in an easily sharable package.
Still plenty of work to be done, but it IS getting done. A million tiny things.

Wonderful hack!
