The thing that makes me the sickest is that these folks don’t even have a shred of compassion. It’s one thing to enforce laws and rules. It’s another to do it gleefully and celebrate the suffering of someone born into poverty and desperation

The solution to homelessness is not forced institutionalizations.

It’s social supports. Healthcare. Housing. Education. Harm reduction. A universal basic income.

Anyone can become homeless at any time. It’s not a personal failing.

We must fix it together.

We do not deploy American forces against Americans in our own cities.

Our military is not trained for domestic law enforcement.

It’s illegal and un-American.

Stoke fear. Exploit desperation. Suspend the rule of law. Fan brutality.

Every time the stronger brutalize the weak, it’s fundamentally the same playbook.

Our duty is to stand up to brutality.

Our moral obligation is to protect the vulnerable and hold the powerful accountable.

The Democratic Party needs to get younger, feistier, smarter at messaging and more in touch with the electorate, both at the state and federal levels.

Democratic voters need to get more discerning about who they choose to fight against the rising tide of oligarchic fascism.
