I love games and so many of the people who make them. It was an honor to accept the award on behalf of the team and a privilege to be able to speak to what I believe in. ♥️
Hey! It's Black History Month! When you support VIDEO GAME OF THE YEAR you not only support me, a Black author, but also all the other fantastic Black writers who contributed essays to the book. Check it out!
This is what I need cis folks to understand.
It's been a decade.
Imagine living TEN FUCKING YEARS watching as a blatant, artificial campaign to erase your personhood, your identity and your safety chugs along, increasing in power every single day, and most people don't care or dismiss it
*vibrates*
If this idea appeals to you, I strongly recommend the SECTOR GENERAL series by James White.

The sad Oompah Loompah.
Happy Willy Wonka Experience Anniversary to all who are celebrating.
I’ve gotten mild pushback on my blog due to my skepticism over AIs supposed complexity but I just keep being proven correct
Oops. Turns out Persona, Discord’s age-verification service, was secretly screening selfies against government watchlists AND accessible by the feds. It's backed by Peter Thiel.
“The state wants to see everything. The corporations want to see everything. And they've learned to work together.”
You GOTTA get a little silly w it

can you imagine how disappointed you’d be if you knew nothing about this book and only picked it up for this particular cover
I NEED EVERYONE TO STOP HOLDING THEIR BODY IMAGE TO A STANDARD SET BY MEN WHO ARE ATTRACTED TO TEENAGERS.
I’ve literally been saying this since I was a teenager:
The cover of the graphic novel, a colored illustration by Daun Han depicting King in the foreground, Luz and Harpy Eda behind him, and the other cast of characters framing them including Willow, Hunter, Gus, Papa Titan, the Collector, and Amity.
We've been looking forward to sharing this news for a long time. We're making a graphic novel!
The Owl House: The Long-Lived King
Written by me and the amazing @mikkicrisostomo.bsky.social
Illustrated by the incomparable @dindu99.bsky.social
We're so excited to tell a brand new story.
Variant cover for Superman/Spider-Man #1 by Doc Shaner, featuring Spider-Man driving up the side of a building in the Spider-Mobile, and Superman driving the Super-Mobile, fending off attacks from their respective villains. It was a lot of work, thank you for your time.
Here's my variant cover for Superman/Spider-Man #1 without the text, featuring the vehicle that climbs walls and the other one that punches. Because I knew what to do with my one chance to draw Spider-Man.
A photo of figure skaters Alysa Liu, Amber Glenn, and Isabeau Levito. Above them, text reads “Alt, Gay, and from New Jersey”: The “Babes of Glory” are TikTok Fancam Fuel. The post was made by Them.
I can’t stop laughing about “and from New Jersey”
A co-worker lent me his copy of Empire Galactique, a French TTRPG from the early 80s.
The art is crazy (and there's a lot of it!), the layout is almost non-existent, character creation is interesting but has a lot of math. Reading it is a wild time!

George W Bush and Ellen DeGeneres sitting together and laughing in box seats at a NFL game.
This photo made me understand class in America in a way that I was unable to process before seeing it. The rich enjoy class solidarity on a level that is unimaginable to most people.
"microtransactions in games started by cabal of pedophile elites for the purpose of indoctrinating kids into an economy"
Ok. Well, we all knew it was evil somehow but I really didn't expect Epstein to be responsible for why video games are bad now. That's just not what I would've thought.
You can test new tech ideas using the Seinfeld Test
Would the product eliminate the plot of an episode? (Google maps, cell phones, paypal, battery packs)
Good tech.
Would the product inspire new Seinfeld plots? (NFTs, AI chatbots, crypto currency, blindboxes, metaverse land sales)
Bad tech.
Catherine O'Hara and John Candy standing close together at what appears to be an indoor gathering. Catherine O’Hara is on the left, wearing a light blue sweater and smiling while looking to her right. She is holding a small glass in one hand and a clutch-style purse under her arm. John Candy is on the right, wearing a dark jacket over a light, open-collared shirt, smiling directly toward the camera. The background is dimly lit, with other people partially visible behind them.
John Candy and Catherine O'Hara made the world a better place.
Canada and the world is a better place for them having existed.
The thing about Catherine O’Hara is she is so hilarious and talented that I forgot she was mortal
