I have done all of the following-protesting, contacting reps, boycotting, attending local political meetings, phone banking, making political art and I have no idea what is the most effective but my two Democratic Senators do not seem responsive-no competition.
In certain states and with specific reps calling and writing works. I’ve done plenty of it this last year with mixed results. It’s not the only thing I do and it’s impossible to know what actions are the most effective. You have no idea what people who post are in fact doing.
The message is calling representatives you do not trust to ask them to do the right thing may not be a good use of your time. This is valid. So is calling your representatives in hopes they will do the right thing. Two opposing arguments can both be true.
