Spirit of the Shadows #2, by Daniel Ziegler and Nic Cagnetti. Just look! Giant monster reaches out for our main dude, two page spread. Kirby-esque, clearly, pitch perfect. But dedicated to its own funky vibe. Kirby hated Deadman, famously, just did not understand the character’s appeal. There’s some Deadman in here, alongside the Madman and the Dr Strange and (obviously) the Demon.
