Pretty clean Datsun 620
In Japan, the Dodge Michigan (K-Car imported to Japan) was used as a henchmen chase car on Japanese Anime ๐.
Found this picture from 11/2004, when I bought my 2005 Corolla XRS 6 speed. Fun car! Was affordable. Less than $17k. Cars have gotten more expensive. My salary never caught up to car inflation and the weaker dollar.
I must say, I kinda like it. Weird it's very close to what a Civic Type R sells for. A little on the expensive side. However it's Japanese assembly is flawless, and there's something I can't put my finger on that it's endearing to me
Well, it's quiet and fuel efficient. Made in Japan. It's expensive for what it is, but people like what they like.
Consumers are mainly responsible for this ridiculous price increase over the years, spending COVID money on dealer mark-ups, instead of saving it for emergencies. Just like "temporary" tax increases, prices never go down. We spoiled shareholders and executives with high margins.
Lol. The weirdest thing is, I usually find out news first through memes. ๐
Rest in peace Nissan Altima ๐.
#Altima
Is Subaru using spray painted black Styrofoam grills now? It caught me off guard.
I was disappointed with the extremely cheap plastics in the interior. However I have no doubt it will continue to be a best seller.
A big surprise for an affordable sedan. It's great that you can get something good for about $25k
Again, homeruns. Second generation better than the first.
Styling details looks horrendous on the Wilderness trim on the Outback. I looks very Japanese, but the ugly styling of Datsun Wagons I used to see all over as a child in the 1970s.
Looks good in person. Horrible in pictures. The Toyota sourced Infotainment and climate controls look dated. The Wilderness trim looks horrendous.
The R2 would probably be the EV I would eventually get. I like the size and clean styling.
I really like it. I thought I was going to be really critical of it. I love this color. The question, will it sell? From the reaction at the LA Auto Show is yes. Common comment? Cars are so expensive now. $43 k is no longer sticker shock. What do you think?
I don't understand what you mean. All I said is that self awareness of your surroundings is important. The new Landcruiser has a square front end. My post is about it's interesting that someone imported a Jimny. Going into an unnecessary direction is crazy. All legal U.S. cars require certification
The Landcruiser 250, Tacoma, and 4Runner has a square front end. I think it'll be ok. Safety is very important of course, but pedestrian self awareness is very important. I can't tell you how many times people lack self awareness of their surroundings and just cross the road without looks
Pedestrians need to watch where they are walking lol
People sneaking in Suzuki Jimnys in the United States. Pretty awesome. The new Toyota FJ is not small when you see it in person, and it's styling is too cartoonish. This Jimny is 25k cheaper, looks great. Also has a long production heritage, and is small, and off-road agile.
Me and my brother at my Graduation to go to Junior High School (Middle school)
Me sitting on the bumper on my Dad's 1974 Toyota Corona Wagon. 4 speed Manual.
Jeff Bezos, Mark Walter, will suffer like what Fisker did with all his half baked EVs. This Slate will never see production. If it does, it will fail quickly. The margins will kill the company, and the buying public will not keep their interest to buy it. The Chinese will eat in the foreign market
I have deep nostalgia for these! ๐ฉต
Had fun playing live at the Brewyard Brewery!
Happy Heavenly birthday Jack! Miss you!

Had some fun playing some songs.
