we can't give a figure that specific as it would depend on the route, but an increase of 1mph nationwide could save nearly £60m in operational costs to reinvest services, and an 8% increase could generate an additional £565m for Scotland's economy.

We welcome the PfG commitment to suspending use of concessionary travel cards on a temporary and potentially permanent basis as a result of antisocial behaviour when using the card, which we have been calling for.
Other commitments in the PfG include the previously announced £2 bus fare cap pilot, free bus travel for asylum seekers and the Bus Infrastructure Fund

Scottish Roadworks Commissioner, Kevin Hamilton, gave evidence to the UK Transport Select Committee this morning describing emergency and unplanned works as causing 'chaos' for bus operators.
Great news that the importance of a bus station at the heart of Scotland's Capital has been recognised.
Extending the lease ensures bus and coach operators can continue to serve passengers, and that public transport remains an attractive option to travel to and from the city.
While the committee's focus is on England, this is a major issue for operators across Britain.
