I stand with Canada
I stand with Canada
They make up problems to distract us while they go on raping, pillaging, and plundering their way to trillions, while simultaneously hoovering the middle class and leaving us like dry bones bleaching in the sunlight.
I'll never wrap my mind around how this (or anything he said/did then) wasn't enough.
A threat or an early Christmas miracle?
The genocide needs to stop.
I just had a small one with my kids. They went to the family event later. I just don't trust myself not to explode like a like a bag of popcorn kernels in the microwave.
Find joy but don't reject your anger. Anger fuels you. Joy sustains you. You'll need both to get through this next 4 years.
Good choices!

I'm here for it!
All-time favorite Star Trek episode: Measure of a Man, TNG
What's yours?
Some days you have to really work at sucking the marrow out of the bones of life
Today in joy:
Watched some Lower Decks and DS9. Exercised. Ate some chocolate. Exercised again.
The cloud of the election settles like ascerbic dust under my clothes. I plan on finding at least one moment of joy every day.
This is only going to get worse.
Small tabby cat, curled up, napping, with his paws showing.
In case you haven't seen enough cats on the internet, here's Seamus.
It certainly seems so. I don't get it.
Exactly. It feels like the Dominion is winning in real life. DS9 is awesome. We need a Captain Sisko to rise up with Kira by his side to take on the evil empire and defeat it.
I check every morning just in case.
Daydreaming of holing myself up and binging Deep Space 9. All by myself, cocooned in blankets, drinking hot cocoa and eating cheese.
I read The Hobbit when I was 10. That was my intro to Tolkien. I feel the need to reread his books, but... *looks at TBR*
I get a little ambitious setting those goals. So far, I've read 180 books this year. Maybe that's how I could end on a high note?
Beautiful Golden Retriever, pale yellow coat, resting on brown couch.
I just wanted to introduce everyone to the best boy alive. Meet Beau.
I support this desire. I'd like to add queso and chips to the weight loss strategy, too.
Academia runs on contacting other academics out of the blue and saying HEY do you wanna do this COOL THING for essentially NO REWARD and equally certainly NO RECOGNITION from your employer and those people going OH MAN that sounds AWESOME sign me up for the COOL NO REWARD NO RECOGNITION EXPERIENCE.
I love to paint with oils. Also, pastels. I love to bake. I'm a huge Sci fi/marvel geek. And if you want to see me like a kid on Christmas, take me to a Halloween store. I'm from the deep South (US) and when I'm πΊπΊπΊ my accent gets REALLY heavy.
I'm passionate about civil rights. My religion is love. I'm a voracious reader: horror, thrillers, mysteries are my favorite. I used to play piano and tenor Sax and even wrote a few songs. I used to sing in public. I miss it.
I love to travel. I'm used to traveling overseas alone. I like the adventure. I teach Capstone for IT students at a large university. I sometimes question why I went into IT as I get older. I'm a sucker for a stray animal.
Little more about me: I published a fiction novel centered in Irish mythology. Studied the History, culture, music for years to get certain details right and then took private Irish lessons for nearly 2 years so I'd feel confident sprinkling Irish throughout the book.
Just signed up this evening. Want to see what the fuss is about. If you voted for TFG, don't bother adding me.
