Halo: CE (Anniversary Edition)
Feels like a Citizen Kane type game where it’s undeniably impressive for its time but a bit hard to see the merit if you’re new to it. Still, if I played this back in the 2000’s it probably would’ve completely rewired the way I thought about games lol
7/10
it’d be great if they could do 32 bit emulation
Misu Misou / Liverleaf (3 vol)
Brutal & horrific revenge story by the author behind the far more pleasant Hi Score Girl. It’s not exactly good, lol — it, like the previous title, is excessively cruel & disturbing. It’s mercifully short, though! I could see the appeal for some, but idgi.
3.5/10
anything to the focus characters’ stories and when the series ends it does so with a lot of loose ends that in hindsight feel like a waste of time. In general, though, if you’re looking for a lot of brutal Ichi the Killer level violence, this is for you. Otherwise, pass
4.5/10
Shigurui (15 vol)
My hatred for “underrated” seinen is justified yet again! I think parts of this are good, the art is crazy good, but it’s excessively cruel and while I feel like the author adapting one chapter of a larger book is completely fine he also throws in some side stories that don’t add
The Piano Teacher
i was gonna say something about “im never watching this again” but Generally speaking I don’t watch films twice unless they’re comfort food and this is like discomfort food
8/10
Bonnouji (3 vol)
Short & sweet and surprisingly nuanced & realistic romance series about two dorks in their late twenties. Nothing crazy, but enjoyable!
8/10
naoki urasawa draws himself in such a cute way i really love this guy
Higurashi: When They Cry Ch. 4
It’s crazy how unpredictable this series continues to be despite it being such a long one. This is definitely the least crazy chapter, but it still packs a punch. Answer arcs up next!
8/10
Delicious in Dungeon (Season 1, 24 eps)
So creative, so funny, so good. Spiritual successor to Toriko? (not really, it’s much better) Love all of these characters so much and I was so sad when I ran out of episodes.
9.5/10
media list 2025 i will never change
don’t plan on making any positive changes this year tbh
everytime you use chatgpt, an entire house gets burnt up. everytime u make a picture a car bomb explodes
I wish they made a new version of me that had a drive to do things
there are sooo many bot follows here lol
Good
they’re bluffing hold fast
i’m about to do something very left leaning to my worst enemies
I need airpods….
that’s a lie, i don’t always feel this way. but i’ve always wanted to feel included or feel like i belong in a crowd, and i just don’t. i always feel like an odd one out. i don’t think it’ll ever really change. i’m still just the same nervous awkward and uncomfortable teenager i was 10 years ago
why not
i feel a strong kinship with j*ne r*mover because jane switched from one ridiculous alias name to another and i did the same with sadkey & heavensense
of the “I love my wife and family so much it’s unreal” section we got Yukimura, Satoru Noda, and probably Takehiko Inoue
I’m making a tierlist of mangakas based on how good their relationship with their wives probably are
at the “has a wife, hates her” section we have Hiroya Oku of Gantz fame & the Death Note writer
I mean to be fair the demon child bit is really a great point to remember if you’re making a very specific argument against a very specific point and since yours is a review of the entire series i don’t really think skipping it is detrimental to the review, u covered everything really lol
