I did some TV shopping and it seems that 120hz TVs are like 2-4 time more expensive than 60hz. Are people just throwing their money away to watch 60fps Netflix on a 120hz TV? Or is it special sports streams/gaming things?

It was like 6+ active theater kids who wouldn't stop talking and one upping each other while I'm staring at them, desperately waiting to take my turn that requires them to pay attention. And I didn't have the balls to talk over them and interrupt lol. Truly a torture scene for my introverted self.
I once played apples to apples with a group of theater kids in college(I was dating a girl who did costume design stuff). It was the worst 30 minutes of board games in my life
