I wish! I'm the only one who has ever made fried chicken and it never comes out the way I think it should. I think when I was a kid, I tasted something in my imagination that I assumed was what fried chicken was supposed to taste like, and reality has simply never measured up.

Yummmmmmm (there is an Italian deli nearby me that makes the sandwiches I remember from when I was a kid, but they're one of the very last)

I day dream so much about fried chicken but it never ever tastes right and I have no idea why. It doesn't matter whether it's homemade, artisanal, or fast food. Why doesn't it taste the right way?

Sadly I cannot describe what "the right way" even is. I just know our modern reality is not it.
