We just finished an RPG campaign tonight. My character was named James. The last spoken lines of the game itself:
GM: “What does James do?”
Me: “Better.”
Best way to end a game.

We three are all used to consent-based resolution, we know each other well, Pheno is an environment where simple narration happens a lot, and it helped speed things along as time ran short. The mechanics helped set the tone early on, so by the end we knew the flavour without them. Was good.
We did have fun, and possibly more than should be expected in session 6. I noticed that we all (including you) seemed to abandon the system entirely late in the game, in favour of narrating and mutual consent, and I think that worked well for us.
The newish cat is happy that we are home from Pheno. She has planted herself on my lower abdomen and is purring contentedly while staring at my face.
This week, we (Lisa+I) saw two musicals about about love and loss and what we do to get back lost love.
Hadestown did it much better, to my mind, because every note was infused with the characters’ love and pain and desperation. Beetlejuice was fun, but didn’t take me into anyone’s soul.
So, Kay is written as a Han Solo knock-off? Because that would track. Maaaybe not the naive, but certainly everything else.
Yet another federal election at which not a single candidate has promised what this nation really needs: wider voting booths.
I basically only play Doom, so definitely violence.
I think there’s a good case to be made for reading Cosmere in release order within series, up to a certain point where the crossovers start to kick in. Like, it makes a lot of sense to blast through Mistborn Era 1 as a single long story. Optional, though. Just release order for everything works.
It may depend on what script you’ve found. I’ve seen partial transcripts that were at least pretty close to what I saw and heard in the video.
