"We need to find common ground."
Now you're just rage baiting me. 🤣
We definitely don't want someone talking about "compromise".
Thinking about a particular billionaire trying to convince people Medicare/medicaid for all would stink while not being able to get a baby into hospice because their private insurance won’t do concurrent care. Is this really what we want for healthcare in America?
Fun fact: My first civil disobedience arrest was in front of Ben Sasse's office during the ACA fight.
I've always wondered what good is a seat at the table if you have to give up your voice to sit in it?
Have you seen our options? These are not plans we "can count on". I'm already deciding on the trade offs I'll have to make once I return to a Connector Plan after graduation. Sure, it's less bad than being completely uninsured. But, something that is less bad doesn't make it good.
One in five Republicans support a “government-provided system,” as do most independents. Democrats back Medicare for All by 90 percent. www.politico.com/news/2025/12...
It's time the Democrats push Medicare For All very strongly.
Data for Progress polling showing voter support for a Medicare for All system.
Health care is a human right. That’s why we need Medicare for All.
We need to simplify our system and make sure folks can get the care they need, when they need it. And the American people agree!
MEDICARE FOR ALL WORKS
Here's an idea: Medicare for all. Done.
Compromise is a privilege for the comfortable.
Today, I have to surrender my teeth for two weeks to have them repaired. It's humbling to walk around with a mangled face.
It's been ten years since our crap health care system cost me my teeth (and nearly everything else) and we are no closer to better health care access.
Hell yeah we're hitting every corner of the district!

Rebecca is a fearless advocate for health care reform. If she is excited for Tom Perriello's campaign for Congress in VA's 5th district, then so am I!
The honor was mine.
Bernie Sanders: It's not good enough just to extend the ACA credits. We have got to join every major country in the world, guarantee healthcare to all people, and pass a Medicare for All, single payer program.
A very crowded room.
Packed house for @tomperriello.bsky.social campaign kickoff.
Campaign kickoff Wednesday December 10 Random row 530-7
Tonight!!!
Tom Perriello's stunning victory allowed him to vote for the ACA and help it become law, helping millions. Tom did it knowing it would probably cost him his seat in the next election.
That is what political courage and serving the people looks like.
I’m running for Congress in Virginia’s 5th District because families and workers deserve a fair shot. Costs keep rising while salaries aren’t - and MAGA Republicans are cutting food & health care to fund corporate tax breaks instead of defending Virginia’s families.

BREAKING: Former Rep. Tom Perriello (D-VA05) Announces Candidacy for 5th Congressional District, Declaring “This Is an All-Hands-on-Deck Moment” (The district is currently MISrepresented by MAGA fanatic and 1/6/21 insurrectionist John McGuire) bluevirginia.us/2025/12/brea...
Former Rep. Tom Perriello, a Virginia Democrat who won his sole term in a huge 2008 upset, unexpectedly announces campaign against GOP Rep. John McGuire. Trump carried the current version of #VA05 56-43, but it could look a lot different if Democrats convince voters to approve a new map this spring.
Fantastic news!!!!!!!!
Welp, I didn't have "shingles" on my bingo card for the last week of classes. Stupid lupus B.S.
Tim Kaine voted to reopen the government in exchange for…NOTHING. Instead of the healthcare funding, all these Democrats got was a promise from Republicans to hold a vote…next month. And we know what Republican promises are worth. Tell our representatives how you feel about this failure!
There are going to be so many stories like this.
