That’s pretty much exactly what it is. It is a budget rip off.

The dvd 📀 includes a video of the cast watching the ova in a bar, drunk and having fun. It’s honestly worth a watch for the uniqueness of that alone.
So overall a 90s artifact not great but worth checking out

Honestly for a one off 30 minute ova this is alright. Plot was stupid and characters were annoying but it has an air of fun about it and doesn’t take itself seriously at all. The dub is hit or miss with the title character really was annoying but the others were passable 1/2

Similar to the speech that RDJ gives in tropic thunder, the 2000s saw lots of emo bands dressing like a circus ringmaster for dramatic effect. Of the bands in question I think panic is the one to go full simple jack. I will not speak further on this. It is what it is.

2. I’d always heard about this one, but could never find it to buy. Finally pulled the trigger at an anime con this summer but for thirty bucks idk if I’d recommend it. It’s bland and lacks the atmosphere of Now and then. Everything about it is a mixed bag save it’s lofty themes

Not too much to say about this one. Take the hidden gem that is Here and There, Now and Then, amp up the environmental themes, and remove all the memorable characters and you get Green Legend Ran. In three long episodes this anime has grand ambitions but bad execution
