I think in terms of tone they’re quite different! EE has a very Pratchett-esque style to it and coupled with the visual design it ultimately creates something that I think stands apart from the crowd of Discoclones. I’m sure there are plenty who would disagree, of course!
Appropriately enough, Esoteric Ebb’s stance on democracy is how I ultimately feel about the game; is it perfect? No. But god damn is it the best we have right now
