I know their success would have meant more slop, but if you look at REverse and REsistance as funny little pack in multiplayer modes like the ones that were popular in the 7th gen, I think they're neat and fun tbh... 🫣

Was rewatching old Talking Classics Kieth Apicary vids and they hold up pretty well. Very high effort for the time. But I am now forever bothered with the knowledge that the Neo Geo music video starts with them playing the song off of a Genesis cart and not an AES

I think it's a cool design choice in the early games cuz they're intended to be online social games and there was a sanctity in the idea of a bonfire being the only safe point in the game - so getting to a new one felt monumental. I think the newer games have strayed away from this though

I will trust a DS1 or DS2 lover. Everything beyond that must be evaulated on a case by case basis lol
