Hoarder house finds:
*Hoarder house finds*
Today, while looking to see if we had any flat wood pieces laying around, I stumbled upon this incredible wooden box holding a stash of rulers.
Now it’s a hot chocolate holder on the hot drinks bar. I’ll put the rulers in my office. 🙌❤️
Hoarder house project:
Started as a small storage room --> now my cozy office!
Amazing hoarder house finds.
Buried deep in the garage, covered in what had to be at least one decade (maybe two) of dust and stuff… there are two of these old library book return carts.
So excited to unearth, clean, use this!
(Ernesto Esteban the rescue Chihuahua for scale.)
Doodles over dried coffee spills that look like two strange beings with foreheads touching and eyes closed.
"I love you."
I saved the duck from our 2021 car crash.
Now it’s office art with a (hi)story.

What I'm hoping to do over a bit more time, is put a couple of tiny houses or cute little campers out "AirBnB" style, but not for a fee - just a private and peaceful place for our friends to come chill once in a while. Hoarder relics = bonus feature! 🥰
Amaaaazing! What an incredible project!
Our hoarder house was built in 2004, but some of the relics were finding date back 40s to current. (We were mostly in it for the land but it’s become a creative oasis!)
I found this old shop bench in the “stuff” piles outside. I sanded and cleaned it up, but love how kinda raw and worn it is… so not gonna super-finish and paint it or anything like that. Ken helped me haul it inside.
It’s now our hot drinks station in the cowboy room! 🥰🙌❤️ #hoarderrenovation
This morning I read about the Barrel Cactus.
Barrel cacti flourish in arid, unforgiving conditions and inside they are filled with life-sustaining water…
Note to self: I can tap into my inner strength and resourcefulness, and flourish.
Be strong like the Barrel Cacti!

A bird's-eye view of a former Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp showing a wide dirt pathway flanked by parallel rows of barbed-wire fences. Groups of visitors walk along the path, surrounded by the remnants of brick structures and barracks, now reduced to foundations. Green grass contrasts with the somber history of the site, as the path leads toward a guard tower in the distance.
Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. It did not start from gas chambers.
This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.
Auschwitz took time.
Doodles over dried coffee spills that look like a small cluster of lovely flowers.
View of a beautiful sunrise obscured by a solar screen window cover.
View of a beautiful sunrise (and Ken) un-obscured by a solar screen window cover.
One morning as I was sitting with my coffee watching the sun come up from the “cowboy room”, Ken appeared outside the window and removed the solar screen.
It reminded me a lot of perspective shift.
One simple change made the view 1000x better.
(Sunrises from different days, but you get it.)
Something resembling a cactus bloom doodled from colored pencils over dried coffee spills.
Dried coffee spill (before doodles)
Dried coffee spill (after doodles)
I learned that every cactus will bloom at some point in its life. For most species, blooming starts when they reach maturity. That can take from a few to even 55 years.
I love this notion for people, too.
It’s never too late! (Until it’s too late.)
Seize the day, my friends!

Antique woodworking clamp, clamping an acrylic frame featuring a copy of American Artist Jett Jackson's "Don’t Worry Everything Will Be Okay"(1958)
Found this amazing old wooden clamp in the “stuff” (hoarder home overhaul.) Calling it the Picture Pincher!
Excited to find a home for it somewhere inside the house. ☺️
I incorporated my doodles over dried coffee spills into my PictureThisClothing-12 Days of Christmas Challenge. ✏️☕🥰
3 French Hens (coffee doodles)
2 Turtle Doves (felt)
1 Partridge in a Pear Tree (oil pastels)
What the heck will I do for the rest of the days? 🤔
Thank you, Chris. 🥰
I've been on pause since my daughter took over my doodle-desk with her art homework, but working to take it back!
✏️☕
News for some, not for others, but since I'm starting over here...
Ken + I bought a 10-acre property last Fall w/ 2400sqft home, a 1900sqft shop, an elderly couple + "stuff".
Will share fun finds here.
I've been documenting a lot of the process here: picturethisclothing.substack.com/s/chronicles...
Doodles over dried coffee spills = Daily therapy.
Happy day to you!
WoooooHOOOOO! Congratulations!
A hot cup of coffee in front of a warm fire in my living room, little Ernesto Esteban the rescue Chihuahua is peeking in from the side.
Doodles over dried coffee spills - someone described this one as "Other-worldly plant life"

Ok, so. A little slow on the Bluesky, but here I am.
