Open sketchbook showing an ink drawing of a mermaid holding something upward and smiling, sitting amongst waves. Her long ponytail and hair spread across the two pages. She is surrounded by shell stickers
I would like to revisit this in the future without the stickers of course. Actually I want to draw all my mer-people but there are over 10 and I donβt have enough confidence in my drawing right now. Iβll get over it.

I've launched a publication with @palfest.bsky.social called "The Key." I am so excited to share this first issue with you: www.thekeymagazine.com
Front cover of the needlebook. Two different decorative pieces of fabric are joined together, with lace and branching stitches surrounded by smaller ones stitched atop the base.
Back of the cloth book showing more long, branching stitches surrounded by the small strait stitches over two joined pieces of decorative fabric.
I am proud of the needle case I made. :3
Now my needles have a safe, dedicated space.

I thought I replied to you :(
Thank you π
^0^ love her pose and angle!
Open sketchbook showing a line drawing in progress of a mermaid, sitting in swirling waves, spread across two pages. Her long fishtail and hair extend from one page to another.
Iβve been thinking about how I cut off my enjoyment from art because I trivialize my interests, and give more credit for my artistic successes to chance than I do any consistent effort to learn on my part.
As I was thinking, I drew a mermaid character that I never named in an old style of mine
The frustrating thing about working on a blog is that I canβt write. π
I know from being a painter that Iβve got to make a bunch of shit before anything βgoodβ comes consistently. Iβm just going to have clunky, weird posts for a while.
A ink drawing on tan paper of a woman with bouncy, curly hair looking down towards the viewer with rays of white ink spreading from her head. Her torso is filled with a black and white, abstract floral design.

Her hair flows so nicely and I like her soft facial expression. β€οΈ
Zambi makes the cutest, prettiest, most magical stickers!

I have seen her portrait before and loved her design. Her lacy dress is pretty. Her skin is very striking against the dark background. β€οΈ
:(
Feel better soon!π
artists! share your drawing(s) with food! β‘
Awww π₯Ή. The chibi blowing bubbles is so cute. I like the pastel colors In the first one too, itβs such a nice scheme.
I would like to make one rag doll this year if possible. I have so many scraps of fabric for dresses, yarn for hair, and I can buy some rich brown fabric for her skin. She'll be so cute.
My sweetie filled with thoughts.

This is beautiful. Love the purple/gold combo.

A tall, leafy stem, drawn in ink, with two large flowers and two budding flowers attached.
A bundle of round leaves drawn in ink. The foreground has strong, dark lines, while the background leaves are faint.
Plants from imagination - fineliner on cardstock.
I am making some actual botanical drawings, but sadly it takes days or weeks for me to complete one.
I will catch up on the timeline feed hopefully today or tomorrow.

An open sketchbook revealing a patch of wildflowers drawn in different colored inks. The words "It was just my imagination, once again, running away with me," are written across the pages.
Finished spread in my art journal with a snip from "Just My Imagination" by The Temptations.
Last year, I was trying to separate myself from my old online identity just a little, but I'm not sure what the point of that was.
So I'm putting my name back into my profile.
I was also able to save my domain name so I am working on my blog again.

You captured the feathers in such amazing detail. I wonder how easy it was to spot with it almost camouflaging with the surroundings.
I need to finish this damn drawing but I have to redraw the damn flowers. :/
It wasn't supposed to be a self portrait but I used myself for reference and put all my sadness into it so I guess it is a self portrait.
