I keep seeing really cool book nooks. It's all very tempting but I'm deeply confused as to how people have space on their shelves. That's where my books go, and they've already ran out of room.

I'm as impatient as anyone waiting for Alecto the Ninth, but I do feel bad for the other Tor Books writers when every promo social post from the publisher now is just a flood of "Alecto when? Release the Barbie!" comments.

I love cons, but having experienced and witnessed similar behaviour over the years it's scary how common it is. It's shocking how apathetic some show runners can be about this kind of thing too.

Here is the gift of being a comic artist, if you’re lucky every single day you get to make something that didn’t exist before and that harms no one and adds something good to the world. Even if no one wants it.

Animal Kingdom Lodge would definitely be the dream someday haha. Since covid I think they've gotten rid of the airport shuttle, complimentary magic bands, some of the extra hours, etc.

We typically stay off site, but seeing the perks for staying at Disney resorts vanish has made them less desirable even as a "dream holiday upgrade".

I can only speak from going recently (2018/2023), and as much as I love our time there the paid replacement for Fast Passes and the general increase in expenses as well as other changes have put a damper on things.

Even just the regular interface is clunky. Turning pages A+ but if you want to access a menu or change to a different book or navigate libraries - it's slow and tries to turn pages instead.

I got a kindle last year for xmas, and honestly my actual physical book collection has grown in response. Not because kindle has introduced me to new books... but because the kindle interface and "you can't buy books on this platform" make it less user friendly than a gen1 ipad from 2010.

Picked up book 1 of a DnD novel collection today. Thought, hey this is nicely bound, sprayed edges, the collection includes some classic Dragonlance books too and I can maybe pick and choose which ones I like.

Spines combine into a mural of 80 books. Touché, Hatchette.

Admittedly I've never been particularly attached to it enough to be bothered by people assuming my gender online.

But when I started my first webcomic, I can't say I appreciated the crash course in misogyny and that one person who stalked me so hard they sent threats to my partner.

The comics are great, @emmavieceli.bsky.social and the team did an amazing job.

I thought the take on their relationship in DE was fitting and realistic based on just how much trauma and guilt LIS1 doled out to both of them.

Would I have liked to see more of Chloe? Sure, but I also don't think it would've benefited that particular story.

I feel like one of the few Max/Chloe fans who enjoyed Double Exposure. And I'm genuinely looking forward to the tv series.

But while it's my preferred game ending, I don't see "bae" working as well in the context of an ongoing tv series. At least for season 1.
